BODUAN CHURCH

Near this Place rest the remains of
Griffith Wynn of Bodvean in the County of
Carnarvon Esqr. who Married Catherine the
Daughter of William Vaughan of Corsigadole
in the County of Merioneth Esqr. and left two
Sons, Thomas Wynn Esqr. now Clerk of the
Honble Board of Green Cloth to
King George the Second, and Sir William Wynn Knt
Standard Bearer to the Honourable Band of
Pensioners, who being but a year old at his
Fathers Decease, could have no other knowledge
of his Worth, than from the Universal good
Character he has every where found his Memory
honour'd with by those who had the happiness
of his Acquaintance, and being desirous to preserve
and continue the same, with all due Regard
to so Valuable a Parent has caused this small
Memorial of Him to be erected.
The said Catherine Vaughan since Married
Hugh Nanney of Nanney, in the County of
Merioneth Esqr. by whom she had four
daughters Anne, Catherine, Jonnet and Mary.

Second Son of Griffith Wynn of Bodvean Esquire
was Elected
To Represent the Town of Carnarvon
in Parliament in 1749
was Lieutenant
to the Honourable Band of Gentlemen Pensioners.
Died May 20th 1754.

[Syr William Wynn, Marchog, Ail Fab Gruffydd Wynn o Foduan Yswain a Etholwyd i gynrychioli Tref Caernarfon yn y Senedd yn 1749 oedd Raglaw i'r Anrhydeddus Go^r o Foneddwyr Dognwyol. Bu farw Mai yr 20fed 1754 Oedran 75.]

He married
JANE only Surviving Daughter and Heir of
John Wynn of Melay Esq
by whom
He left issue Two Sons and two Daughters,
THOMAS GLYNN, FRANCES and DORATHY.
He was
CUSTOS ROTULORUM of the County of Carnarvon
And was Elected Member of Parliament
in 1739 for that County,
in 1741 for the Borough of Denbigh,
in 1754 a Second time for the County of Carnarvon
and in 1761 for the Borough of Carnarvon, But in 1768 Retired from Publick Service.
He died on the 16th day of February 1773
in the 72 year of his age.

Efe oedd Ceidwad Rho llyfrau Sir Gaernarfon, ac a Etholwyd yn Aelod Seneddol yn 1739 tros y Sir hôno, yn 1741 tros Fwrdeisdref Dinbych, yn 1754 yr ail waith tros Sir Gaernarfon. Ond yn 1768 a ymneullduodd o Wasanaeth Cyhoeddus. Bu farw ar yr 16eg dydd o Chwefror, 1773, yn y 72 ftwyddyn o'i oedran.]

late Rector of this Parish,
who died on the 25th day of May 1862
Aged sixty one.
and also of his wife
Georgiana Frances,
who died the 13th day of November 1860,
Aged fifty five.

VI
To the Glory of God and in loving Memory of Frances Maria Wynn died Jan' 5th 1886 and of Catherine Wynn Died Decbr 8th 1885 eldest and fourth daughter of Spencer Bulkeley third Baron Newborough.
The Beautiful unselfishness of their lives here their gentleness and patience were ever a help to others on the pathway to life eternal.
This Window was placed here by their sister the Hon'ble Mrs. Gladstone.

In Memory of Spencer Bulkeley 3rd Baron Newborough who died at
Glynllivon the 1st of Novbr 1888 and whose body was carried to rest In
Bardsey Island the 20th of Novbr 1889 This Window is given by his son
Frederick George Wynn in the year 1898

February 1673. Aged 71.

September 12th 1722

who departed this life
the 2d Day of Janry 1752
Aged 44.

Catherine the wife of
Hugh Nanney Esq.
of the County of Merioneth
who was first Married to
Griffith Wynn Esq.
of Bodvean by whom she
had two Sons Tho. & William.
By her second Husband
she had four daughters
Anne, Catherine, Jonett,
Mary. She died in Sep. 1733.
Aged 74.

Mae'r llechfaen llwyd rhif III ag oedd yn gorwedd ar weddilion y Perch. Cadwaladr Jones, wedi cael ei amharchu a'i anmharu gan ddynionach afresymol ac anystyriol trwy Iddynt ei ddefnyddio at gymysgu cymrwd (cement) arno, yn adeg adgyweiriad yr Eglwys Ye lle bod yn nodi gorphwysfan y Parch. Cadwaladr Jones, mab hynaf neu etifedd John Cadwaladr, Yswein, o Vrynengan,yn Eifionydd; tylwyth boneddigaidd o gyff-âch Collwyn ap Tangno, y maer maen yn gorphwys, ysywaeth, ar fur ogleddol y fynwent, a'i wyneb dan orchudd trwch o gymrwd caled. Dylid bod yn ofalus hen feddfeini'r merwon y maent yn dystion distaw ond dwys argraffiadol o ansicrwydd breuolder bywyd Y mae ein hynafiaid yn deilwng o 'gof a chadw ac ni ddylal fod gan na llên na lleyg hawl i symyd na charag na phriddyn a fwriadwyd i amddlffyn heddwch y llwch hwnw "hyd ddydd adferiad pob peth"
