Personal Interests
Genealogy
Particular interests here include the family of Robert
Washington 'Gypsy' Gregg, of the Iowa Volunteers in the Civil War, the
Grahams of the Valley of Virginia (1740), and the family of Swan Johnson
of Valley County, Nebraska.
My 5th-great grandfather, James Graham, built a house in the wilds of Virginia
in 1770. That house still stands. Visit the web site I have created for the
Graham House Preservation
Society and see an online version of my 3rd-great granduncle David Graham's
History of the Graham Family, (1899).
Tired of people telling you what to believe about Heaven
and Earth? Tired of hearing that other people are evil and destined for
Hell? Maybe you should investigate Unitarian
Universalism, a non-creedal religion that believes in "the inherent
worth and dignity of every person." This is one of the first American
churches to ordain women and open homosexuals, and a church that is pro-choice,
gay-affirmative, and culturally diverse. Our members describe themselves
theologically as athiests, agnostics, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and
pagans.
