Will of John Baskin

   In the name of God, Amen, The Twenty Fifth day of October 1767. I John Baskens of Granville County, in the Province of South Carolina...........I leave and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Elizabeth and my little son to be divided between them as the law directs I likewise ordain my Brother Jamesa Baskens and my Dearly beloved Wife Elizabeth Baskens to be my sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament. (Proved Jan. 1769)

Will of Hugh Baskin

   In the name of God, Amen, I Hugh Baskin of the stae of South Carolina, Abbeville County in the District of Nnety Six, Planter,
..........First, I gave and bequath to Sarah my dearly beloved Wife the horse called Liberty andher sadle and my Bridle and all her body clothes and bed and furniture.
   2dly, I gave and gequeath to Elizabeth Stuart, my daughter, the Gray filly 2 years old, and when she comes of age a bed and furniture.
   3dly Itam, I gave to my son William, one horse colt now one year old and all my body cloathes, and the sadle he has got the name of and a rifle Gun.
   4th Itam, I gave to Esther Wilson, my daughter one Gray filley one year old.
   5th Itam, I gave to Susannah McKinley, my daughter the black mare.
   6th Itam, I gave to my son Robert, the black horse.
   Itam, the gray studd Horse and one rifle gun to be sold to help to pay all my just debts with the money now in my hand an the over plush to be Equally divided among all my children.
   Itam, my stock of Cattle, and sheep, and HOgs, and all y Plantation utentiels, for the use and fenefit of the Family and all houshold furniture for the s.d use, left to the discreation of my Executors to divid among my Children when they come of age and for the support of my wife and likewise one sorrel mare for the above mentioned use and my waggan, and loom for the s.d use, I give and bequeath, all my lands, and the Mills to my sons William and Robert to be equally divided when my son Wm. comes of age my wife to have the care of both for the use of all the famiy untill that term; or during her widowhood, and if continuing a widow her living her life tiem The Negro, Called Jack to labour the s.d land under the s.d care until my son, Robert, comes of age, and so on during his life for the use of the family I appoint Wm Baskin, and my wife Sarah, to Execute this my last will andTestament, and I hereby utterly disalow, revok, and disanul all and every other former Testament Wills, legacies, Bequest, and Executors by me in any wise before named willed and Bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th march and year of our Lord one thousand sever hundred and Ninety six, and in the Soveringnity of the United States of America the 20th. Will of Charles Baskin

      In the Name of God Amen, I Charles Baskin of the County of Augusta and State of Virginia being weak in Body but of sound & perfect mind & memory and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make & publish this my last will & testament, in the manner & form following, that is to say, first Idesire that if there are any just claims against me(which if ther are is not within my knowledge) they be paid out of my estate by myexecutes hereinafter hamed. 2ndly I will and gequeath to my son John C. Baskin two hundred & forty acres of land lying and being in the siad Countyof Augusta on Christians Creek, being the same land which was conveyed to me by John Hutcheson & wife, by deed bearing date the 21st day of May in the year One thousand seven hundred & seventy six, and recorded in the County Court office of Augusta and the same land on which I now reside, also all my slaves, andother personal property of what kind and nature soever itmay be, to him his heirs & assigns forever.
3rdly I will and gequeath to my daughter Issabella Hellena Graham the sum of one hundred dollars, to be paid to her by my siad son as soon after my decease as conveniently he can, and in case of the death of my said daughte before the payment to her of the said one hundred dollars I desire that hte same may be retained by my sone until such time as he may think proper to dispose of it amongst her childrenwhich disposition is left entirely to his discrection.
And lastly Ido hereby appoint my said son John C. Baskin, sole Exr. of this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the 21st day of Dec'r 1816. (Proved Aug. 26-1822)

      The Last Will and Testament ofTimothy Murphy, of theTwonship of Sanwich, in the Western District of the Province of Upper Canada, Yooman.
      I, Timothy Murphy, conisering theuncertainty of thismortallife and being of sound mnd andmemory (blessed be to Almighty God for the same) do make andpublish this my last will and testament in manner and form following; that is to say; I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as possible: After which it is my will tha tall my property both real and personal shall be inherited by my beloved wife Eleanor Murphy: and I give, bequeath and devise all my siad real and personal property to her, the said eleanor Murphy, and to her heirs and assigns forever: and I do hereby appoint my belove wie Eleanor Murphy aforesaid sole Executrix of this my las will an testament, hereby revoing all former wills by me made.
VIn witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.(Died May 4-1840)
