NOTE: Jan was looking for records of Abram G. Sacket who moved from St. Lawrence Co., NY to Franklin Co., NY and then moved back to St. Lawrence Co. As noted at the end, she found nothing for Abram G. but did find some other Sacket/Sackett records there.

There were no probate files for any Sacket(t)s in Surrogate's. The genealogy room which has card indices for the New York State census did not have any Sackett.

Mind you, they only have the 1875, 1905, 1915, 1925. The 1855, 1865, and 1892 for Franklin County burnt, like so many around here. However, there was a bit of Sacket(t) information to be gleened from the deeds. Here is what I found----

23-332 Robert W. Mead and Clampo, his wife, of NYC, to Julia Ann Sackett of NYC for $1275.00, 60 acres in Franklin County, NY

26-44 4 May 1857, County Judge and Treasurer to Julia Ann H. Sacket of NYC tax assessment

57-96 8 Feb 1869, Will of Elizabeth K. Titus, of White Plains, Westchestere County, New York, late of Rye, NY, deceased, with executors of James H. Titus and Adam J. Sackett both of Westchester County, NY.

69-1 Will of James H. Titus, of NYC and Westchester County, NY, dated 16 May 1878, mentions fourthly, "to nephew, Adam J. Sackett", executor, and later in a codicil dated June 21, 1878, "all lands in Franklin County, New York to widow (Sarah E. Sackett) of deceased nephew, Adam J. Sackett".

85-157 5 June 1889 Adelaide Garrison, sole heir at law and next of kin of Robert Sackett, deceased, late of Poughkeepsie, NY, Alice Elizabeth Darly, formerly Garrison of Poughkeepsie NY only living legatee of Robert Sackett, deceased of first part and Martin V.B. 137-43, will of Sarah E. Sackett died April 2, 1909 in Rye, Westchester County, New York.
To father, Ferdinand W. Ostrander and mother Sarah A. Ostrander she gave $1500/yr annuity.
To sons, all her silver.
To two daughters, clothes, laces, jewelry.
To sister Augusta O. Greene $1000.
To niece, daughter of Augusta, Adele Greene $1000.
To brother, John W. Ostrander $1000.
To sister Helen Whitehouse, $1000.
To niece, daughter of Helen, Helen M. Whitehouse, $1000.
To brother Charles F. Ostrander.
To nephew, Henry W. Cooper, son of deceased sister, Margaret O. Cooper.
