The date of death on the Certificate of Death is correct (Oct 16, 1926 at 5 P.M) The date o f burial (Oct 17th) is incorrect. The date of burial in her obituary is given as the 19th , a date that then makes sense.

Addie's obituary written by her own mother gives her birth date as 1 Sep 1902 instead of 1901 . However the age given on her marriage licence places her birth date as 1901. Her life spa n was 25 years 1 month and 15 days.

Notes about Addie (from talks with her younger brother Fred C Shepard):
She was very good with Algebra, She was good at drawing horses, She liked to play the guita r and sing songs like "Tenderfoot", "Arkansas Traveler" and others.
Fred also said her facial features looked like she might have some Indian heritage. Her young er sister, Alice Irene also showed some features that were similar. The other siblings did no t have the same features particularly Lettie who was light complexioned.

I stayed in Fred and Mary Shepards' home off and on when I was a teenager in the early 1940s . They were living in Oroville, Washington at the time. I got into trouble with them a lot b ecause I would stay out too late running around with Tom Weed. (Mary Shepard's half-brother ) Some times they would lock me out, I guess to teach me a lesson, but I was a hard learner . The weather was bitter cold in the winter time and Grandma Weed told Tommy to bring me hom e when I got locked out. Grandma Weed was very kind to me in those years and she really trie d to be a sustitute mom because she had promised grandma Shepard she would try to look out fo r me as much as I would let her.

Fred married Mary Lucille Pratt on 10 May 1939 in Oroville, Okanogan, Washington. Mary was born on 5 Aug 1918. She died on 9 Jan 2000 in Ocean Park, Pacific, Washington. She was buried on 13 Jan 2000 in Ocean Park, Pacific, Washington.
