He was united in married to Ellen Putnam on the 9th day of February, 1845. She was the daughter of John and Mary Putnam, who were also early settlers of Rock County. Mr. Fellows came to the West comparatively poor, but by dint of careful management and strict industry has acquired a goodly amount of this world's goods, and is now one of the wealthy farmers of his township. He has always been a strong supporter of the principles of the Republican party, and a warm friend and zealous supporter of religious and educational enterprises.
