History of Rock County

Beloit City

--Churches--

Beloit is not behind her sister towns in the erecting and maintaining of her churches, of which there are at present nine. The First Congregational is perhaps the finest structure in the city; it is of brick, and cost about $35,000. The Catholic is next, built of brick also, at a cost of about $20,000. There are also the Second Congregational, Presbyterian, St. Paul's, Methodist, Baptist, Spiritualist, and German Presbyterian.
