resolution which was adopted:
Resolved, That the Board of Public Works cause a sidewalk and terrace grade to be established on Fourth street
from Bridge street as far north as E street.
Ald. HANSEN presented the following resolution which was adopted:
Resolved, That the Board of Public Works be directed to cause the fence fronting the property designated as No.
1233 Emerson street to be placed on the proper street line, as said fence as now located is a nuisance and source of complaint by pedestrians passing on the sidewalk abutting the property.
The official bonds of J. A. LOVE, treasurer, Geo. B. INGERSOLL, city clerk, John C. ROOD, city attorney,
Geo. M. APPLEBY, city marshal, J. D. QUACKENBUSH, city sexton, and G. B. MERRILL, R. H. BROWN and R. G. SCHEIBEL, constables, were presented and referred to the Judiciary committee.
The Mayor announced the following appointments:
Geo. W. PERKINS, Member of the Board of Public Works.
Rhoda SCHEIBEL, Patrolman E. Side.
Odell A. CHAMBERLAIN, Patrolman.
Cash WHIPPLE, Nigh Watch E. Side.
Frank C. WALROD, Night Watch West Side.
W. B. CARR, Special Police High School without pay.
Wm. ROGERS, Special Police Parker School without pay.
Jesse D. COLE, Special Police Royce School without pay.
J. D. QUACKENBUSH, Special Police Cemetery without pay.
Wallace KATHAN, Special Police Opera House without pay.
Oscar NELSON, Special Police Iron Works without pay.
John COATS, Special Police Fairbanks, Morse & Co., without pay.
Carl HOFF, Special Police John Thompson & Son without pay.
Richard GARDE, Special Police Wood Yard, State line; without pay.
John CHAMBERLIN, Special Police Strong School without pay.
J. B. SHORT, Special Police Wright School without pay.
E. H. CLARK, Special Police Hackett School without pay.
The bids in the matter of the city printing were opened and on the motion referred to the Printing committee to analyze
same and report to the Council.
On motion the Council then adjourned.
