| Ald. SHARP, for the Aldermen of the Third
and Fourth wards, reported as follows: |
- Your committee of the Third and Fourth ward
aldermen to whom was referred the petition for the
- removal of the water that accumulates on
the corner of E and Hackett streets and has no outlet except
the natural one of absorption and evaporation, report that they
have investigated, and caused the same to be surveyed and a profile
of the same to be made; and which is submitted with this report.
We find that the cheapest and most feasible way is to construct
a surface water sewer on the surface on Brooks street extending
from the intersection of Hackett and E streets to the catch basin
on the intersection of Bridge and Eighth streets, from thence
to the river by means of the sewer already in, and recommend
the adoption of the same.
