- E. E. GOSS having received a majority of all votes
cast was declared elected.
- Ald. LEDELL moved that the Council proceed to the
election of a City Engineer. Carried.
- Ald. BUCKERIDGE presented the following communication:

- To the Honorable the Mayor and Common Council:

- GENTLEMEN - I hereby agree to do the work
of City Engineer as the Council may direct at the rate of
- 50 cents per hour and furnish my own assistant.

- On ballot being taken for City Engineer 14 votes were cast
of which R. R. CALDWELL received 14 and was
- elected.
- Ald. CLARKE, for the Street Lights committee, reported
on the bills of the Beloit Electric Co., recommend that the
- sum of $288.35 be allowed on the bill for March and $298.35
be allowed on the bill for April.
- On motion the report was adopted and bills allowed in amounts
as recommended by the unanimous vote of the
- Council, the ayes and noes being called.
- On motion, the Council then adjourned.
