HELM, HEWITT, LEDELL, MERRILL, MUELLER, NEEDHAM, POLLOCK, SHARP - 15.
The minutes of the meeting of May 21st were read and approved.
The following bills having been audited by the Clerk and payment recommended were allowed and ordered paid by
the unanimous vote of the Council, the ayes and noes being called:

    A bill of the Beloit Electric Co. for $313.35 for street lights was referred to the Street Lights committee.
    Ald. HELM presented the following petition, which was referred to the Aldermen of the First ward:

To the Mayor and the Common Council of the City of Beloit: -
The undersigned respectfully petition your honorable body to cause a grade to be established on
Broad street between the west line of State street and the west line of Mill street, as per proposed grade on blue print attached hereto.

Ald. DAY for the Aldermen of the Third and Fifth wards reported recommending the adoption of the resolution for
an electric light at the intersection of C and Eighth streets and that same be on 60-foot poles. On motion the report was adopted and light ordered.
Ald. HELM for the Aldermen of the First ward reported recommending the adoption of grade as set by the
Engineer on the north side of Broad street between Harrison avenue and the race bridge. On motion the report was adopted.
The Aldermen of the Fourth ward asked for and were granted further time for the consideration of the matter of
draining Highland avenue and the grade on Euclid avenue.
Ald. SHARP for the Aldermen of the Fourth ward reported recommending the adoption of the grade as set by the
Engineer on the east side of Eighth street from Bridge to E street. On motion the report was adopted.
The Street Lights committee asked for and were granted more time for the consideration of placing lights on Liberty
street.
The Judiciary committee asked for and were granted more time for the consideration of the dog ordinance and the
matter of the standard sidewalk.
Ald. DAY for the Fire committee, presented plans and specifications for the remodeling of the central fire station.
