LEDELL, MERRILL, MUELLER, NEEDHAM, POLLOCK, SHARP - 14.
Absent: Ald. BUCKERIDGE - 1.
The minutes of the meeting of May 21st were read and approved.
The following applications for liquor licenses were presented and referred to the License committee:

Ald. HANSEN presented the following petition, which was adopted:
Resolved, That the License committee of the Common Council is hereby ordered to meet and be in session from day
to day so long as may be necessary for the purpose of acting upon applications for liquor license.
The following applications for billiard and pool table licenses were presented and referred to the License committee:

    Ald. HELM presented the following petition which was referred to the committee on Public Grounds:

To the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Beloit: -
We the undersigned children residing near Mechanics Green would ask you to please have the grass
cut in the green in order that we may have better play grounds.
          Anna MENZIE, Frances GARRITY, Mamie GARRITY, and 7 others.
    Ald. POLLOCK presented the following petition which was referred to the License committee:

To the Mayor and Common Council of the city of Beloit: -
We, the undersigned citizens of Beloit, respectfully remonstrate against the granting of any petition
for license which would increase the number of saloons on the south side of Bridge street.
