- registry, and after that time the same shall
be of no effect, and such dog or bitch may be registered again
in the manner herein provided.
- Section 4. Every person who shall have caused
the registry of any such dog or bitch shall keep upon
- the neck of same a collar with a brass tag
attached thereto with the number of such registration thereon
which said brass tag shall be furnished such person by the City
Clerk upon the presentation to him of such Treasurer's receipt.
If any such tag so issued be lost the Clerk may issue a new tag
to the person entitled to same upon presentation to him of the
receipt of the City Treasurer for 50 cents. The said tags shall
be of different shape each year.
- Section 5. The City Marshal may at any time
kill or cause to be killed any dog or bitch found running
- at large within the city of Beloit without
having upon its neck a collar with a brass tag attached thereto
as provided in this ordinance.
- Section 6. Any person residing in the city
of Beloit owning or having in his or her possession any
- dog or bitch, who shall allow the same to
run at large without first being registered as herein provided
and without having upon its neck a collar with a brass tag attached
as herein provided shall pay a penalty of not more than five
dollars nor less than one dollar.
- Section 7: This ordinance shall be in force
and take effect upon August 1, 1900, and after its passage
- and publication.
- Ordained and enacted by the Common Council
of the city of Beloit. The 16th day of July, A.D. 1900.

- Granting to Henry H. CLOUGH and his
assigns the right to lay down, construct, maintain and operate
a
- single or double track electric railway over,
across, along and upon certain streets in the city of Beloit.

- Section 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council
of the city of Beloit that the right, permission,
- consent and authority are hereby granted
to Henry H. CLOUGH and his assigns to lay down, construct,
maintain and operate a single or double track railroad with the
necessary switches and side tracks, loops and Ys and to operate
cars thereon for the transportation of persons and property by
electricity or any power except steam locomotive engines, for
a period of fifty years from and after the passage of this ordinance,
upon, over, across and along the following streets or portions
of streets within the city of Beloit, Wisconsin.
- Commencing at a point on the present southerly
city limits of said city of Beloit where said city limits
- is intersected by Park avenue, thence northerly
along said Park avenue to the intersection of said Park avenue
with Race street; thence westerly along Race street to the intersection
of said Race street with State street; thence northerly along
State street to the intersection of said State street with School
street; thence easterly along School street to the intersection
of said School street with Pleasant street; thence northerly
along said Pleasant street and along the street known as the
River Road to the present northerly city limits of the city of
Beloit. Also commencing at a point on the present southerly city
limits of the city of Beloit where said city limits is intersected
by State street; thence running northerly along State street
to the intersection of said State street with Race street. Also
beginning at the intersection of School street with Race street,
and thence running eastwardly along said School street to the
intersection of said School street with Union street; thence
northerly along said Union street to the street known as the
Beloit and Janesville Prairie road; thence northeasterly along
said Prairie road to the northerly city limits of the city of
Beloit and over and across and along all intersecting streets
and alleys.
- Also beginning at the intersection of Race
Street with Pleasant Street, thence running in a northerly
- direction along Pleasant street to the intersection
of Pleasant Street with School Street. Also commencing at the
intersection of Prospect Street and Race Street, and thence running
southerly along said Prospect Street and across such intersecting
streets and alleys as may be necessary to a point on the present
southerly city limits of the City of Beloit at or near a point
