- same, exclusive of crossings, out of the
funds of said Sewerage District, and the balance shall be paid
by abutting property owners.
- Section 4. Any contract that shall be entered
into for the construction of said sewer shall provide that
- the person to whom said contract shall be
awarded shall, upon completion of the work, and its acceptance
by the Board of Public Works, be paid the amount of said contract
as follows: For so much thereof shall be payable out of the funds
of Sewerage District C, he shall receive an order payable out
of the funds of said district when available. For the balance
he shall receive in payment certificates against the lots, parts
of lots and parcels of land fronting or abutting on the work
so contracted to be done, the sum to be paid in said certificates
to be assessed against said lots, parts of lots or parcels of
land by the Board of Public Works as provided by law.
- Section 5. The Board of Public Works is hereby
ordered and directed to make the assessment required
- by law to carry out the provision of this
ordinance against all lots, parts of lots or parcels of land
fronting or abutting on the work so contracted to be done, at
the time and in the manner required by law to be done in such
cases, and in manner and form as required by law, and the officers
of the city of Beloit are hereby ordered and directed to do all
required by law to be done to carry out the provisions of this
ordinance.
- Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
