as follows:
|
- Your Judiciary committee to whom was referred
the matter of the feasibility of a dog pound and dog
- catchers respectfully report as follows:
- We met for the special purpose of considering
the matter and are of the opinion that the penalty
- provided for in ordinance No. 68 is sufficient
as a remedy for the enforcement of the ordinance. We are of the
opinion that the adoption of the dog catcher system would lead
to many abuses and to much trouble and expense. We suggest that
the mayor publish a notice in the official paper calling attention
to the provisions of the ordinance and that it will be enforced.
We believe that this, together with prosecutions, if found necessary,
will lead to the best results.
- D. H. POLLOCK,
- T. GESLEY,
- A. C. HELM,
- D. E. HEWITT,
- Isaac BUCKERIDGE,
