The minutes of the meeting of September 19, 1900, were read and approved.
The following bills having been audited by the Clerk and payment recommended, on motion were allowed and
ordered paid by the unanimous vote of the Council, the ayes and noes being called:

    Ald. BUCKERIDGE presented the following petition, which was referred to the Taxes committee:

To the Honorable the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Beloit: -
Gentlemen: The undersigned respectfully shows your honorable body that his property in block 31
and bluff lot 40 in original plat has been assessed in both Sewer districts A and B, and that thereby your petitioner has been obliged to pay a double sewer assessment, the amount in each case being $15.00 or $30.00 in all. Your petition would therefore ask you to rebate to him one-half of said total or $15.00.

    Ald. HELM presented the following petition, which was granted:

To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Beloit, Wis.: -
Gentlemen: The undersigned respectfully petitions your honorable body for permission to place a
wagon scale in the alley at the east end and near the northeast corner of our new freight house, the scale to be placed near the building so that it will not interfere [continue to Page 64]
