The minutes of the meeting of November 19 were read and approved.
Ald. POLLOCK appeared and took his seat.
The following bills having been audited by the Clerk and payment recommended, on motion, were allowed and
ordered paid by the unanimous vote of the Council, the ayes and noes being called:

Ald. HANSEN presented the following petition which was referred to the Health and Sewerage committee:

To the Hon. Mayor and Common Council of the city of Beloit:
We as the undersigned residents and taxpayers of the city of Beloit respectfully petition your
honorable body for permission to sewer into the catchbasin on Public avenue.

Ald. SHARP presented a petition from John LINDSTROM in regard to ditch on Brooks street which was received
and placed on file.
Ald. HELM for the Waterworks committee presented the following report and communication:

Your Waterworks committee who were instructed to confer with the Waterworks company relative to
purchase of waterworks property report as follows:
We have received the attached inventory proposition and price from said company and recommend
that the property be not purchased at said price.
We further recommend that the Council proceed as soon as possible to the appointment of appraisers
as provided in Ordinance No. 12.

Dear Sir: - Replying to your official request for a price on the waterworks, under the provision of
Section 13, Ordinance 12: We herewith submit a general memorandum of the waterworks property and a statement of receipts and expenses.
The Beloit Waterworks company offer to sell and transfer all their rights and property to the city of
Beloit for two hundred and thirty-seven thousand five [continue to Page 74]
