- Ald. HELM presented the following resolution which
was referred to the Aldermen of the First ward to report at the
- next regular meeting: -
- Resolved, That the Board of Public Works be ordered
to build a plank crosswalk on the west side of Central avenue
- crossing Hubbard place.
- Ald. BUCKERIDGE presented the following resolution
which was adopted: -
- Resolved, That the Board of Public Works be directed
and is hereby ordered to cause a crosswalk to be built across
- Park Place on the east side of North College street.
- Ald. SHARP presented the following resolution which
was adopted: -
- Resolved, That the Board of Public Works continue
the tilling on the Brooks street sewer on the west end (100)
one
- hundred feet and on the east end thirty feet in order to
avoid the deep ditch in front of the abutting properties.
- Ald. CUNNINGHAM presented the following resolution
which was adopted: -
- Resolved, That the Bridge Committee be directed to
examine and report to this council at the next regular meeting
- the condition of the Turtle bridge at the upper end of Broad
street and also the other bridges of the city.
- Ald. SHARP presented the following resolution which
was adopted: -
- Resolved, That the City Attorney be instructed to
draw a five year lease to secure the present rooms for the Police
- force, and the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to ratify
same. This to be done at once at the sum specified in the report
of the Police Committee of $150 per anum.
- On motion the Council then adjourned.
