Ald. SHARP for the Police committee presented a lease for the police court and moved that the Mayor and Clerk
be directed to execute same on the part of the city. Carried.
The report of the City Sexton, for the month of November, showing receipts of $67.00 with Treasurer's receipt
attached, was presented, accepted and placed on file.
The report of the Police Justice for the month of November, showing receipts of $2.00 with Treasurer's receipt
attached, was presented, accepted and placed on file.
Notice of injury and claim for damages was received from Mrs. Nettie GRAVES and referred to the Judiciary
committee.
The following report was received from the Board of Public Works and referred to the Health and Sewerage
committee:

To the Honorable the Mayor and Common Council:
Gentlemen: Your Board of Public Works would report that two bids were received for constructing
sanitary sewer in Rouse street. The amounts of the several bids are as follows:
        Owen BARKER $227.80
        Ralph LIDSTER 236.60
          Respectfully submitted

Ald. BUCKERIDGE presented the following resolution which was adopted:
Resolved, That the Beloit Electric Light Co. be directed and is hereby ordered to move the pole on the east side of
North College street at the intersection of Park Place so that it shall not be in the line of the sidewalk crossing and that the same be done immediately.
On motion the Council then adjourned.

Special meeting to consider letting contract for sewer in alley sometimes called Rouse street.
Mayor SMITH presiding.
Present - Ald. BUCKERIDGE, CUNNINGHAM, GARDNER, LEDELL, MERRILL, NEEDHAM, POLLOCK, SHARP - 8.
Absent - Ald. CLARKE, DAY, GESLEY, HANSEN, HELM, HEWITT, MUELLER - 7.
Ald. BUCKERIDGE, for the Health and Sewerage committee, presented the following report and resolution which
were adopted:

To the Hon. Mayor and Common Council of the City of Beloit:
Your committee on Health and Sewerage, to whom was referred the report of the Board of Public
Works relative to bids received for the construction of the proposed sanitary sewer on the alley commonly called "Rouse Street" and by which said report it appears that Owen BAKER is the lowest bidder, would respectfully recommend that the contract for the construction of the said sewer by awarded to the said Owen BAKER, the said work to be paid for as is provided in Ordinance No. 71 of the City of Beloit, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be directed to execute a contract, on behalf of the city, with BAKER, in the manner provided by law, for the performance of the necessary work and the furnishing of the necessary materials for the construction of said sewer for the sum of $227.80.

Resolved, That the report of the committee on Health and Sewerage be adopted; that the contract for the
construction of the proposed sanitary sewer on "Rouse street," including the performance of all materials, be awarded to Owen BAKER, he to complete said sewer for the sum of $227.80; that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they hereby are authorized, empowered and directed to execute, on behalf of the city, a contract with the said BAKER for the construction of the said sewer for the sum of $227.80, the said sum of money to be paid as is provided in Ordinance No. 71 of the Ordinances of the city of Beloit.
On motion the Council then adjourned.
