Ald. LEDELL presented the following resolution which was referred to the Judiciary committee:
Resolved, That a street and sidewalk grade be established on Fourth street from Bridge to North streets, and the
City Engineer is hereby instructed to set stakes for same, subject to the approval of the Council.
Ald. LEDELL presented the following resolution which was adopted:
Resolved, That a sidewalk crossing be built across Liberty street to the West Side Chapel.
Ald. SHARP presented the following resolution which was referred to the Aldermen of the Fourth ward:
Resolved, That the Fourth ward be divided into two voting precincts or wards, the boundaries to be determined by
the aldermen of the Fourth ward, to report at the next meeting or in time for the spring election.
On motion the Council went into executive session.
On rising from executive session the Council adjourned.

Special meeting to consider the matters in relation to purchase of water works.
Mayor SMITH presiding.
Present - Ald. BUCKERIDGE, CLARKE, CUNNINGHAM, GARDNER, HANSEN, HELM, HEWITT,
LEDELL, MUELLER, NEEDHAM, POLLOCK, SHARP - 12.
Absent - Ald. DAY, GESLEY, MERRILL - 3.
On motion the Council went into executive session.
On rising from executive session the Council adjourned until Tuesday, Jan. 29, 1901, at 7:30 p.m.
