32nd Division. Trained at Camp Douglas and Camp MacArthur. Sailed from Hoboken, on S.S. Leviathan, March 3, 1918. Landed at Liverpool, March 17th, at Le Havre, France, March 20th. Trained at Camp Coetquidon, France. Took part in following engagements: Alsace, June 8-July 23, 1918; Aisne-Marne Offensive, July 29-Aug. 27, 1918; Oise-Aisne Offensive, Aug. 28-Sept. 7, 1918; Fismes sector, Aug. 7-Aug. 27, 1918; Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Sept. 22-Nov. 10, 1918. Sailed from Brest, May 1, 1919, on Battleship Georgia. Discharged from Camp Grant, May 19, 1919.

Transport Corps. Trained at Camp Grant, Fort Wayne, and Detroit, Mich. Discharged at Camp Grant, June 13, 1919.

Born in Paris [Edgar county], Ill. Entered service June 14, 1917. Assigned to Headquarters Co., 16th Infantry, 1st
Division. Trained at Ft. Mead, S.D., Camp Green, N.C., Camp Mills and Camp Merritt, N.J. Sailed from Hoboken, Jan. 11, 1918, on S.S. Olympic. Landed at Liverpool, Jan. 19, 1918. Trained at Gondrecourt, Minil, La Tour, Selles Sur Cherie and Pagny La Blanc. Hauled reserve rations for different regiments in the Cantigny drive. Saw service in Soissons Offensive; St. Mihiel Offensive; Meuse-Argonne. Also saw service in Rosillean and Sedan sectors. Sailed from Brest, Aug. 21, 1919, on Amphion. Discharged at Camp Dodge, Sept. 25, 1920.

PRIVATE FRED F. HAMILTON
Born at Laona [Winnebago county], Ill. Entered service July 20, 1917. Assigned to Co. M, 128th Infantry, 32nd
Division. Trained at Waco, Texas. Sailed from Hoboken, Feb. 18, 1918, on S.S. Covington. Landed at Brest, March 7, 1918. Trained at Chassigny, 10th area, France. Saw service in: Alsace sector, May 5-July 7, 1918; in Aisne-Marne Offensive, July 29-Aug. 7, 1918; in Oise-Aisne Offensive, Aug. 25-Sept. 6, 1918; Meuse-Argonne, Sept. 26-Nov. 11, 1918. Gassed. In Army of Occupation, Nov. 17-April 19, 1919. Sailed for U.S. from Brest, France, April 26, 1919, on S.S. George Washington. Discharged at Camp Grant, May 19, 1919.

SEAMAN ALVIN HANSON
Born at Beloit [Rock county], Wis. Entered service Dec. 12, 1917. Assigned to Convoy and Transport service. Trained
at Great Lakes Naval Station. Promoted from apprentice seaman to seaman second and to seaman first class. Transferred from Great Lakes to the U.S.S. North Carolina to Pelham Bay to Receiving ships at Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, to the U.S.S. Dekalb to the U.S. Naval Hospital, Brooklyn, to the U.S. Naval Hospital, Washington, D.C. From there to the U.S. Navy Yards at Philadelphia to the U.S.S. Cummings to Great Lakes, where he was discharged.

PRIVATE HARRY V. HARTMAN - Asst. Cashier
Born in Spring Grove, Green county, Wis. Entered service Sept. 7, 1918. Assigned to Infantry, Company F, 5th.
Training Camp at Camp Grant and transferred to Co. F, 8th Battalion Infantry. Trainning and Replacement Camp at Camp MacArthur. Trained at Camp Grant, Ill., and Camp MacArthur, Texas. No oversea service. Discharged at Camp Grant, Jan. 11, 1919.

PRIVATE WILLIAM H. HEIN - Mechanic
Born at Dayton [Green county], Wis. Entered service June 18, 1918. Assigned to Headquarters Co., 321st Infantry,
81st Division. Trained at Camp Hancock, Ga. Sailed from Hoboken, Sept. 26, 1918, on S.S. Republican. Landed at Brest, Oct. 5th. Trained at Santagena. Did dispatching with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the Meuse-Argonne Front. After the Armistice was on detached service in the 8th Army Corps in an automobile shop. Sailed from St. Nazaire, June 9, 1919, on S.S. Manchuria. Discharged at Camp Grant, June 27, 1919.

MECHANICAL SERGEANT 1ST CLASS STANLEY R. HOLLIDAY - Auto Mechanic
Born in Albany [Green county], Wis. Entered service July 10, 1918. Assigned to Motor Transport Corps. Trained at
the Brennan School, Chicago. At the end of 60 days, on September 10th, he was transferred to the Tank Corps, Camp Colt, Gettysburg. There Mechanical Sergeant HOLLIDAY was assigned to the 307th Salvage and Repair Co. Promoted from private to mechanical sergeant. Not being able to drill on account of his feet, being deformed from burns, Sergeant HOLLIDAY was again transferred, after 30 days in this company, to Headquarters. Was discharged at Camp Grant, Dec. 27, 1918.

PRIVATE HOBART A. HOOKER - Student
Born in Brodhead [Green county], Wis. Entered service Jan. 29, 1918. Assigned to Veterinary Detachment, 328
Auxilliary Remount Depot, 36th Division. Trained at Camp Bowie, Texas, afterwards sent to Co. H, Central Infantry, Officers Training School, Camp MacArthur, Texas. Discharged from Camp MacArthur, Nov. 30, 1918.

PRIVATE JAMES B. HOPKINS - Horseshoer
Born in Brodhead [Green county, Wis.]. Entered service June 15, 1918. Assigned to Supply Co., 1st Field Artillery,
32nd Division. Trained at Camp Douglas. Discharged there July 28, 1917.

SERGEANT VAL W. HOPKINS - Farmer
Born in Monroe [Green county], Wis. Entered service Sept. 1, 1918. Assigned to Co. G, Motor Transport Corps
Repair Unit 304. Trained at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Promoted from private to sergeant. Discharged from Fort Sam Houston, April 23, 1919.

Trained at Great Lakes. Promoted from Machine Mate Landman to Machine Mate 1st Class Aviator. Transferred from Great Lakes to Hampton Roads, Va., Air Station. Discharged there, Feb. 6, 1919.

Born at Avon [Rock county], Wis. Entered service April 1, 1918. Assigned to a Casual Co. Trained at Camp Custer,
Mich., and Camp Gordon, Ga. Sailed from Newport News, June 14, 1918, on the S.S. Washington. Landed at Brest, June 27, 1918. Transferred to Battery F, 319 Field Artillery, 82nd Division. Trained at Souctine at an Artillery Camp. Saw service in: the St. Mihiel Offensive, Sept. 12-20, 1918; at the Meuse-Argonne front from Oct. 6-Nov. 6, 1918. Sailed from Bordeaux, France, July 1, 1919, on the Housatonic. Discharged at Camp Grant, July 22, 1919.

PRIVATE MARVIN L. JOHNSON - Student
Born in Avon [Rock county], Wis. Entered service Oct. 1, 1918, in S.A.T.C. at Madison. Assigned to U.S. Naval
Reserve, Co. M. Discharged at Madison, Dec. 20, 1918.

PRIVATE OSCAR NORMAN JOHNSON - Asst. Bank Cashier
Born in Avon, Rock county, Wis. Entered service Aug. 14, 1918. Assigned to 42nd Co., Machine Gun Training Center,
Replacement. Trained at Kansas City, Mo., and Augusta, Georgia. Transferred to 11th Provisional Co., a replacement company. Discharged at Camp Grant, Jan. 9, 1919.

Born in Argyle [Lafayette county], Wis. Entered service Aug. 14, 1918. Assigned to Motor Cycle 309. Trained at the
Sweeney Auto School, Kansas City, Mo., Camp Joseph E. Johnston, Florida, and Camp Benning, Georgia. Promoted to first class private. Discharged at Camp Benning, July 9, 1919.

PRIVATE STANLEY PRICE JONES - Farmer
Born in Albany [Green county], Wis. Entered service July 26, 1918. Assigned to Infantry Co. 18, 161st Depot Brigade.
Trained at Camp Grant. Discharged there Sept. 6, 1918, on account of physical disability.

CHIEF ENGINEER HELMAR O. KAATRUD - Garage Owner
Born in Orfordville [Rock county], Wis. Entered service July 15, 1917, and was assigned to U.S. Submarine Chaser
No. 220. Trained at Norfolk, Va., and later sent to Columbia University. Advanced from 1st class engineer to chief engineer. Sailed from New London, Conn., May 15,1 918. Did patrol work on Irish Coast, English Channel and Bay of Biscay. Discharged at Camp Boston, June 14, 1919.

SERGEANT AMBROSE KELLY - Electrician
Born in Spring Valley [Rock county], Wis. Entered service June 17, 1917, assigned to Co. A, Ordinance Corps;
transferred to Infantry to Chemical Warfare Force. Trained at Columbus, Ohio, Edgewood Arsenal, Md., South Charleston, W.V., and Newport News, Va. Discharged from Camp Grant, Jan. 15, 1919.

Born in Brodhead [Green county], Wis. Entered service Aug. 28, 1918. Assigned to Co. M, 1st Infantry. Trained at

Saw service in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Aug. 30-Nov. 11, 1918. Transferred to 89th Division, 1st Army. Was in Army of Occupation. Sailed from Brest, Nov. 4, 1919, on S.S. Northern Pacific. Discharged from Camp Dix, Nov. 12, 1919.

CORPORAL HARRYY A. KNEZEL - Student
Born in Milwaukee [Milwaukee county, Wis.]. Entered service May 27, 1918. Assigned to Motor Transport Corps
820. Trained at Camp Johnston, Florida. Promoted from private to corporal, Aug. 6, 1918. Sailed from Newport News, Va., Aug. 14, 1918, on S.S. Aeolus. Landed at Brest, Aug. 25th. Trained at Decize in M.T.C. School. Detached service at Montrichard 8 months; then sent to Nevers, France, till returned to U.S. Sailed from Brest, July 6, 1919, on S.S. Imperator. Discharged at Camp Grant, July 22, 1919.

CORPORAL JOHN JUDSON KNEZEL - Student
Born at Brodhead [Green county], Wis. Entered service May 27, 1918. Assigned to Motor Transport Corps 820.
Trained at Camp Johnston, Florida. Promoted from private to corporal, Aug. 6, 1918. Sailed from Newport News, Va., Aug. 14, 1918, on S.S. Aeolus. Landed at Brest, Aug. 25th.
