- Isaac V. HOLMES, who constructed the first Eclipse

- who superintended the construction of the famous "Monitor"

of his daughter, Mrs. George SIEBERT of Wheaton, Ill.,

- Mr. HOLMES, whose reputation as a mechanical engineer
has been national, had

The third and final attack came to him during a quiet sleep and
he passed away without a moment's warning.

- Mr. Holmes is survived by a widow and five children. The
children are: Fred E.

- (Note: Mr. HOLMES died on April 28, 1906; this article
obviously dates soon after that. I'm just guessing that it's
May, but it could be April 29th or 30th. - Lori)
