- Died: At his home in the town of Porter, Wednesday, March
21, Mr. Benjamin DAVIS, of consumption, aged 79 years.
- Mr. DAVIS was born in New York state and came to Wisconsin
in 1855, locating on
- the farm where he died. He leaves a wife who is quite feeble
to mourn for him. He was a man most highly respected by all who
knew him.
- The funeral was held from the late home Friday afternoon
at two o'clock. Rev. J. C.
- Lees, pastor of St. John's Episcopal church, of which the
deceased was a member, officiated. The interment was made at
the Ball Tavern cemetery. [p. 1, col. 4]
