- DIED
- In Evansville, Wis., Sept. 21st 1885. Mrs. Lucretia, wife
of George DIBBLE, aged
- 79 years, 9 months and 16 days.
- Mrs. DIBBLE was born in New Hampshire Dec. 5, 1805.
She married Daniel
- AUSTIN in 1819, by whom she had eleven children; only
three of whom are now living - Mrs. Ira PARMLEE, of Center;
Gilman AUSTIN, of Shopiere and Harvey D. AUSTIN,
now in Hold county, Neb. Daniel AUSTIN died in the spring
of 1866. After remaining a widow for five years she married George
DIBBLE, who survives her. This much respected couple have
lived together a very happy and comfortable life.
- She and her first husband were early converted under the
labors of the renowned
- Wilbur FISK, D.D. and joined the Methodist church,
and they continued faithful, christian people to the end of their
lives. Her second husband was a no less exemplary christian man.
Their house was always the house of prayer.
- She had been failing since the first of August and on Monday,
Sept. 21st, taken hence.
- She was a good woman.
- Thanks. The husband, children and relatives of the late Mrs.
Geo. DIBBLE wish to
- tender thanks to all for their kind aid and attention during
the sickness and death of the departed. [p. 3, col. 3]
