Dorothy Marion HARTE was born in Magnolia, Wis., December 23rd, 1895. She
was married to Rev. LeRoy A. JAHN, August 11th, 1917. She passed away at her home in Morganton, North Carolina, March 2nd, 1926. She was a member of the Episcopal church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star, and Pythian Sisters. She leaves one daughter, Dorothy Louise, 5 years old. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. HARTE who with the husband Rev. LeRoy A. JAHN are left to mourn her loss.
Funeral services for Mrs. LeRoy A. JAHN were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St.
John's Episcopal church, Archdeacon William Dawson, Milwaukee, officiating. Mrs. C. E. COPELAND sang two hymns, with Miss Cora HARRIS accompanying her on the organ. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
The pallbearers were W. P. FLEMING, Orville JONES, Frank LEWIS, Floyd
MAIN, Robert L. COLLINS and Zala MILLER.
The relatives from out of town were her husband, the Rev. LeRoy A. JAHN; her
daughter Dorothy Louise, Morganton, N. C.; Commodore JAHN, Kilbourn; Mrs. Emma HOOD, Onawa, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Marc WEBB, Janesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard LUDAMAN, Whitewater.
The announcement of the sudden death of Mrs. JAHN last week came like a blow to
the people of Evansville, who had known her for many years and had learned to love her for her many good qualities. In her long residence in this city she had made for herself many friends by the kindness of her disposition and loving nature.
Being the only child, the blow fell especially hard on her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
HARTE, who have the sincere sympathy of the entire city and community. [p. 5, col. 4 & 5]

Mrs. Mary COVERT, 96, died Tuesday afternoon in the home of her niece, Mrs.
William WAINWRIGHT, from the infirmities of old age.
Mrs. COVERT, formerly Mary WARNER, was born March 15, 1830, in
Williamsport, Pa. the daughter of a minister. Her mother died when she was a small child and she went to Cummings, South Chicago, to make her home with her sister, Mrs. John KLEINMAN, where she grew to young womanhood, later coming to make her home with two brothers at Storytown, near Oregon, where she was married to Rile COLBY.
After several years, Mr. COLBY died, and 40 years ago she married James
COVERT and they made their home in Brodhead and then at the Veterans' Home, Waupaca. Mr. COVERT died 15 years ago. Eight years ago Mrs. William WAINWRIGHT brought her aunt to Evansville, and has cared for her ever since.
Mrs. COVERT attended the Episcopal church and took a great interest in and
contributed to charitable and church organizations. She is survived by her niece, Mrs. WAINWRIGHT, and nephew, John WARNER, this city, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, which will be private, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, in the
WAINWRIGHT home. Burial will be in the WAINWRIGHT lot, Maple Hill cemetery. [p. 8, col. 2]
