The Evansville Review

September 1926

Evansville, Union Township, Rock County, Wisconsin

Word was received here Sunday of the death of Frank M. BAKER, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. F. M. BAKER, formerly of Janesville, at his home in Chicago, after an illness of several months.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in the church of the Holy Nativity, Chicago,
interment being in Rose Hill Cemetery. His parents and one brother survive him.
Mr. BAKER was for several months assistant cashier of the State Bank of Evansville,
being taken ill while filling that position. In the short time he was here his pleasant personality and desire to accommodate made him many friends who will be pained to learn that so promising a young man has been called at the age of twenty-four years of age to give up the ambitions of life.
Mr. L. P. EAGER attended the funeral from here. [p. 1, col. 2]

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. EVANS are sympathizing with them in the
loss of their little son, Clifford Robson, who was born at the Janesville hospital August 25.
Up to within a few hours of this death, he was supposed to be a normal healthy child
and his death came as a sudden hard blow, as he was the only son, there being two daughters, Jean and Ruth, who with their parents will deeply mourn his loss.
The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Paul Johnson
of the Christ Presbyterian Church, Madison, officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery. [p. 4, col. 7]
