- Daniel Marshall RYAN, born September 4th, 1869, in
East Weymouth, Mass.,
- beloved husband of Anna, passed away, October 27th, at his
home, 1262 Leland ave., Chicago, Ill.
- A Masonic funeral took place there Friday, October 29th.
Saturday the body was
- brought to Evansville, for burial at Maple Hill cemetery.
Mrs. RYAN, her brother, Daniel A. VOSSE, of Evansville
and her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne LEWIS,
of Evansville, accompanied the body to Evansville.
- The Masons of Evansville met the body at the train and acted
as pall bearers.
- Mr. RYAN's friends and employees presented many beautiful
floral pieces. [p. 4, col.

- Mrs. Elizabeth SMITH HARPER, 78, died in her
home in Footville, Monday
- afternoon, of infirmities due to old age. She had been ill
but a short time.
- Mrs. HARPER lived in Footville 32 years, and was born
in Spring Valley, Wis., Jan.
- 1849. She married Hine HARPER on Nov. 18, 1875, in
Oregon, Wis. Her husband died 7 years ago. Four daughters, Mrs.
Warren CAIN and Mrs. Robert FRASER, Evansville,
and Susie and Ida HARPER, at home, survive her, as well
as five grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held Wedneday at 10 a.m. in the late
home, the Rev. O. W.
- Smith of Evansville officiating. Burial being in Scotch Hill
cemetery, near Brodhead. Mrs. Harper was a member of the Methodist
church at Footville. Pall bearers were four grandchildren, Dr.
C. B. CAIN and Elzie LIBBY, Evansville, Dr. S.
L. CAIN, Whitewater, and Dr. C. B. HARPER, Footville.

- Mrs. Olive FENN died Monday at her home in Magnolia,
aged 76 from a stroke of
- paralysis which lasted but a short time. Mrs. FENN
has resided in the Magnolia community since early childhood being
married to Amos FENN in 1866, he departing this life,
in 1885.
- Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home, Rev. J.
R. Singleterry officiating,
- burial being in the Bethel Cemetery. The pall bearers were
Will DOUGHERTY, Grant HOWARD, Warren PORTER,
Ernest WORTHING, Nay GILMAN and John FRASER.
- She is survived by one son and two grandchildren. [p.

- The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. MARQUITZ,
born October 5, 1926,
- died Sunday at the home of her parents in Evansville. The
funeral services were held Tuesday at the home of Mrs. MARQUITZ's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert GULLICSON, at Stoughton,
the Rev. Nesvig officiating. Besides her parents she leaves three
sisters and a brother to mourn her loss. [p. 5, col. 2]
