OBITUARY - MRS. JANETTE BROWN DEAD
Passed Away This Morning at Her Home on Terrace Street.
Mrs. Janette Brown, widow of the late Jas. H. BROWN died at her home at 59
Terrace street this morning, aged sixty-five years.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Janette THORNBURN [THORBURN],
was born on July 25, 1835, in Bavaria, Delaware Co., N.Y. She came to this country with her father in 1854, and in 1864 was married to Jas. H. BROWN. She resided in the town of Center up to a year ago when she took up her residence in this city.
Mrs. BROWN leaves five sons, Benton W. and Oscar A. of the town of Center;
George H. of Colorado and Edwin O. and Adam T. of this city. She was one of a family of eight children only two of whom survive - Mrs. ACHESON of Newberg, Oregon and Adam THORNBURN [THORBURN] of this city.
The funeral will be conducted at ten a.m. Friday from the house and at 12 p.m. at
Grove church, town of Center. [p. 5]
