- Mrs. Andrew Anderson
- Mrs. Andrew ANDERSON (Edith HATTON) was born
at Grand Rapids, Mich.,
- 1852, [and] moved to Wisconsin 1857 with her parents who
settled on a farm in Plymouth where she grew to womanhood. In
1875 she was united in marriage to Silas CORYELL. They
resided on a farm in the town of Center until his death in 1890.
Four years later she was married to Andrew ANDERSON and
still remained on the farm until 1913 when they moved to Beloit,
where her death occurred Oct. 16, after a long and painful illness
of stomach trouble, the direct cause of acute pneumonia which
developed a few days previous to her death and in her weakened
condition could not survive the disease. Besides the bereaved
husband there are left to mourn her loss four sons, Frank of
Edgar, Wis., and George and Fred of Beloit, and Dell of Janesville
and a daughter, Mrs. May BRINKMAN of Afton and six grand
children. Funeral was held at her home in Beloit, conducted by
the Rev. Turner and brief services were held at the Grove church
in the town of Center. Her four sons and brother George HATTON
and son-in-law Ehler BRINKMAN carrying her to her last
resting place in the little cemetery adjoining the church.
- Mrs. ANDERSON was a woman of generous principles and
found the most
- happiness in doing for others. The many beautiful flowers
showed the love and esteem in which she was held. [Saturday

- Ewald A. Strampe
- Ewald A. STRAMPE who died last Wednesday was placed
in his last resting place
- on earth - the Oak Hill cemetery, amid the sorrow of his
parents and young friends. The six pall bearers, were all members
of his class room, the seventh grade, where their is now an empty
seat and an empty place in the hearts of his comrades. The pall
bearers were William DOWD, Jean HARNEY, Harry PIERSON,
Ray FROH, William KNUTH and Albert GRIDLEY.
- Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers, Ervin,
Ernest and Arthur
- STRAMPE who will sorely miss him. The funeral services
were performed by the Rev. Fuchs of the St. John's German Lutheran
church at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon. [Saturday edition,

Washington schools and
- the Western Union for the beautiful floral offerings during
the sickness and death of our son, Ewald.

- Mrs. G. J. Hill
- The funeral of Mrs. G. J. HILL was held this morning
at 8:30 o'clock from her home,
- 715 Prairie avenue. Church services were held at the St.
Patrick's church, Father Mahoney celebrating high mass and also
delivering an appropriate sermon. Many beautiful floral offerings
were sent by Mrs. HILL's friends, who expressed their
sympathy. Her many friends paid their last tribute to their friend
and councilor [counselor] by attending the funeral to the place
of rest in Oak Hill cemetery. The pall-bearers were Joe MANTHEI,
Skelly HILL, Ben DUGAN, August SEARSTELT,
Fred CHURCH and Robert DAILEY. [Saturday edition,
