Wellington [Alvit] CLARKE, 89, died Tuesday after an illness of two months. He was born in West Edmeston, N.Y. and was married in 1861 to Miss Finetta A. McPHERSON, who preceded him in death three years ago. Three children were born of this union, Stella CLARKE, who died in 1879, Martin E. CLARKE, also deceased, and H. D. CLARKE, this city. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Whaley funeral parlors, with the Rev. M. Skagg, Milton, to officiate. Burial will be in Milton. [Wednesday edition]   Courtesy of Jon Saunders
