- Milton - Mrs. Nancy Arvilla POTTER CROSLEY, 88, well
known resident of
- Milton, died Wednesday at her home in Milton.
- The only daughter of Daniel and Rebecca BOWLER POTTER,
she was born in
- Alfred, N.Y., March 6, 1853, and with her parents and five
brothers moved to West Hallock, now Edelstein Ill., in 1865.
- In 1872 she was married to Moses CROSLEY and in 1883
they moved to Farina,
- Ill., where they remained 10 years, moving to Milton in 1893.
Nine years later they moved to Albion where they remained until
his death in 1923 when Mrs. CROSLEY returned to Milton
to make her home.
- At the age of 10 she was baptized and joined the Second Alfred
Seventh Day Baptist
- church and through her life maintained her membership in
churches of like faith in the communities which were her homes.
As long as she was able she was active in the work of the church.
- Survivors are three children, Mrs. Pearl SHELDON,
Albion, who has cared for her
- the last three years., Mrs. Ella T. MICHEL, Marion,
Ia., and Dr. G. E. CROSLEY, Milton; three grandchildren,
George MICHEL, Marion, Ia., Mrs. Stanley STEVENS,
Mauston, and Mrs. Howard ROOT, Albion; and seven great-grandchildren.
- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Milton
Seventh Day Baptist
- church. Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery. [Thursday
