- [OBITUARY -] Oscar A. BROWN Taken by Death
- Brodhead - Oscar A. BROWN, 73, resident of Brodhead
for the past six years, died at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in a Monroe
hospital. He had been in poor health for some time.
- Born in the town of Center, Rock county, Sept. 24, 1872,
he was the son of James
- and Janet BROWN. He married Mary SCOFIELD in
Janesvillle Nov. 22, 1895 and they lived most of their lives
in Rock county.
- Surviving are two sons, Sherman BROWN, Ogden, Utah,
and Waldo BROWN,
- Worthington, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Judd COWAN, Spring
Grove township; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. BROWN died Dec. 7, 1943, and four brothers also preceded
Mr. BROWN in death.
- He was a member of the Church of Christ at Footville.
- Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. The body is
at the Newcomer funeral
