OBITUARY - Orfordville - Sherman Winslow BROWN, 56, Ogden, Utah, Died at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald NELSON, Luther Valley. Mr. BROWN had been visiting in the NELSON home for several days.
He was born Sept. 1, 1894, in Rock county where he lived most of his life. In 1915,
he married Mabel Grace QUINN and they lived and farmed in Newark township until moving to Utah five years ago. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Footville.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel BECKMAN, a missionary in Japan,
Mrs. Donald NELSON, Luther Valley, Mrs. Arland NELSON, Beloit route 4, and Stella, at home; four sons, Roger, of Orfordville, Roy of Barrington, Ill., Kenneth, U.S. navy stationed at Norfolk, Va., and Lloyd, U.S. navy in Korea: one brother, Waldo, Truman, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Judd COWAN, Janesville; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Church of Christ, Footville, with burial in
Maple Grove cemetery, Orfordville. Friends may call at the Silverthorn funeral home, Orfordville, Friday evening.
