[OBITUARY -] Mrs. Frances CROWLEY
BELOIT - Mrs. Frances CROWLEY, of 1940 Dickinson Dr., died yesterday in
St. Mary Hospital, Madison, after a brief illness.
She was born here June 18, 1884, the daughter of William and Julia ENNIS
O'NEILL and was married to the late J. H. CROWLEY May 18, 1922.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Stanley ZABEL and Mrs. Roger KEMMAN,
Beloit, Mrs. Patrick COUGHLIN, Appleton, Mrs. James BRENNWALD, Deerfield, Ill., and Miss Margaret, Chicago; two sons, Leo of Green Bay and John of Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren and a brother, Harry O'NEILL of Delavan.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Daley-Murphy-Wisch Funeral Home and at
10 in St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Madison. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home where the Rosary vigil will be at 8 p.m.

[OBITUARY -] Mrs. Hugh S. GUFFEY
WHITEWATER - Mrs. Hugh S. GUFFEY, 78, an area and Whitewater resident
since 1926, died yesterday at Caravilla Nursing Home after a long illness.
Myrtle EWING was born Aug. 7, 1881, at Martinstown, Mo., and was married at
Unionsville, Mo., Feb. 28, 1900. The couple farmed in the midwest, coming to Beloit and later this area in 1926.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bertram KLEIN, Beloit, and Mrs. Clarence
GOSSELIN, Riceville, Iowa; two sons, Robert of Beloit and Claude of Marshalltown, Iowa; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph EWING of Minneapolis, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Lynn HOYT, Ames, Iowa, and Mrs. Ruth STOVER, Los Angeles, Calif.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Skindingsrude Funeral Home with burial in
Hillside Cemetery [Whitewater, Walworth Co., WI]. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the funeral hour.

[OBITUARY -] William Jesse HARVEY
William Jesse HARVEY died Wednesday in Beloit Hospital at the age of 96. Mr.
HARVEY resided with his wife at 730 Euclid Ave., Beloit.
He married the former Flossie Mae CARY in Madison August 13, 1912. Mr.
HARVEY is survived by his wife, a son, Claude of Delavan; two daughters, Mrs. Hans BIGDAHL, in Florida and Mrs. Norma Mae WOODBECK, Janesville; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Funeral Home
on Cranston Rd., Beloit. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit.

[OBITUARY -] Mrs. Russell JOYCE
DELAVAN - Mrs. Russel JOYCE, 79, of Inlet Oaks, died this morning in Lakeland
Hospital [Elkhorn, Walworth Co., WI] where she had been a patient for the last two weeks.
Marie VERBRAEKEN was born Feb. 13, 1890, in Holland, and was married in
Massachusetts in 1938 to Russell JOYCE. She had lived in the area the past 10 years and was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Tony ZAGWIN of Delavan, President of A & J
Industries, and Ted ZAGWIN of Massachusetts; [two sisters] Mrs. Ann BOLIVAR in Massachusetts and Mrs. Joan EAD in Florida; 15 grand[children; rest missing]
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church, with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery
[Delavan, Walworth Co., WI]. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Monroe Funeral Home.

[FUNERAL NOTICE -] Robert KATZMAN
ELKHORN - Services for Robert KATZMAN, 57, who died Tuesday, will be at
1:30 p.m. tomorrow in First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to the church building fund.

[OBITUARY -] Louis KNIPP
Louis E. KNIPP, 68, of 715 E. Centerway, died unexpectedly yesterday in Mercy
Hospital.
He was born in Janesville Aug. 31, 1901, the sone of William and Fannie Rose
CONNELL KNIPP, and lived here most of his life. He was graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1919. He was married to Grace HANSCHE June 24, 1942, in Kenosha. He was employed at General Motors and at Fairbanks Morse for 15 years prior to retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Elks Club.
Survivors are his wife, principal of Lincoln School; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor
CARVALLBO, San Bruno, Calif.; one granddaughter and a brother, George of Beloit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Nelson-Schneider Funeral Home, 10 o'clock
in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening. Elks service will be at 7 p.m., the Rosary at 8 p.m.

[OBITUARY -] Joseph J. SCHLOGEL
FORT ATKINSON - Joseph J. SCHLOGEL, 59, of 106 S. Third St., West, a
Jefferson County deputy sheriff the past 19 years, died of an apparent heart attack yesterday while shoveling snow at his home.
Born in Chicago Jan. 14, 1911, he was married there to Helen NORRIS July 22,
1924. He had lived here the past 19 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Wisconsin Deputy Sheriff's Association.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Richard, and two daughters, Miss Chris and Mrs.
Vernon HANSEN, all of Tacoma, Wash.; three granchildren; his father, Joseph, Sr., and a sister, Mrs. Herschel HANSHAW, both of Pfar, Tex.; and a brother, Phillip of Chicago.

[OBITUARY -] Paul E. TESSMAN
FORT ATKINSON - Paul E. TESSMAN, 68, of Rt. 2, Jefferson, was dead on
arrival at Memorial Hospital last night after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.
Born April 22, 1901, in Waukesha County, he was married to Florence MENICK
Oct. 14, 1924, in Waukesha. They had lived in the area 41 years. He was the former owner of TESSMAN Block Co. His wife died in 1966.

[OBITUARY -] John ZANZINGER
FOOTVILLE - John F. ZANZINGER, 65, died last night in St. Clare Hospital,
Monroe, after suffering a heart attack early this week.
He was born in the Town of Plymouth, March 29, 1904, the son of George and
Margaret HESSENAUER ZANZINGER, and farmed on Rt. 5, Janesville, the ZANZINGER homestead, until a year ago when he retired and moved to Footville. He was married to Elizabeth PATTISON June 25, 1932, in Ottawa, Ill. She died in 1963. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Janesville, and a Hanover 4-H leader for many years.
Survivors are three sons, Richard of Rt. 5, Earl of Janesville, and John, Jr. of Footville;
two daughters, Mrs. Alvin STENLI, Janesville, and Mrs. James HUNTOON, Monroe; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ann GRANGER and Mrs. Delia SCHLUETER, Janesville.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in Oak
Hill Cemetery, Janesville. Friends may call at the Newcomer-Silverthorn Funeral Home, Orfordville, after 3 p.m Sunday.
