- [OBITUARY -] Glenn
R. BABCOCK
- Glenn R. BABCOCK, 50, of 1411 Sherman Ave., died Thursday
in Mercy Hospital.
- Mr. BABCOCK had been failing in health for some time.
- He was born July 15, 1922, in Winslow, Ill., and lived in
the Freeport area until enter-
- ing service with the Army in 1942. He served in the European
Theater where he was taken prisoner by the Germans, and was awarded
the Purple Heart.
- Mr. BABCOCK was married to Dorothy NIELSON
July 7, 1945, in First Lutheran
- Church, Janesville. He had been employed at the local GMAD
plant from 1946 until his retirement due to illness in February,
1973.
- He was a member of First Lutheran Church, VFW, UAW Local
95 and Chevrolet
- Thursday Bowling Club.
- Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. David MHYRE,
San Francisco, Calif.,
- Mrs. Robert BINSKY, Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. Michael
MILLER, Janesville, and Brenda at home; two sons, Ted
and Tim, both at home; two granddaughters; four brothers, Harold
of Janesville, Clyde of Rockford, Royce and Gene, both of Freeport.
- Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the church, with
burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
- Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wolfgram
Funeral Home, and at the church prior to the service time Monday.
- [OBITUARY -] Kenneth
KINNA
- Kenneth KINNA, 76, of 385 Rockport Rd., died Thursday
evening in Mercy
- Hospital after suffering a heart attack while watching the
fireworks at Traxler Park Wednesday night.
- He was born Aug. 28, 1896, in Footville, and farmed most
of his life. He was married
- to Hazel VOLBRECHT July 16, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa,
and had been a Janesville resident the past 26 years.
- [OBITUARY -] Stanislaus
KRAL
- JEFFERSON - Stanislaus KRAL, 71, of 414 W. Milwaukee
St., died at his home
- Thursday after a long illness.
- He was born March 11, 1902, in Poland, and was married there
Jan. 22, 1921, to
- Michalina KAMINSKA. The couple came to Jefferson in
1951 from Poland and Mr. KRAL was employed at Stoppenbach
Co. from 1951 until 1953, retiring due to illness. He was later
employed from 1960 to 1970 at Countryside Hospital. He was a
veteran of service of the Polish Army and a member of St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church, Jefferson.
- Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Wladyslaw WOJTKOW,
Jefferson, and
- Mrs. Leokadyia MASLUSHCRAK in Poland; a son, Ludwig
of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a
sister, Mrs. Felice BOYARSKI, and two brothers, Bronislaw
and Kasimir, all in Poland; another brother, Joseph, died in
Florida.
- Services will be at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in Curry Funeral Home,
and at 2 in the church,
- with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after
4 today at Curry Funeral Home where the parish Rosary will be
recited at 8 tonight.
