EDGERTON - James W. ARTHUR Sr., 67, of Route 1, died Monday in Edgerton
Memorial Community Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
Born Feb. 24, 1912, in Edgerton, he married Elvira RUOSCH on Nov. 19, 1932,
in Freeport, Ill. Arthur farmed and worked as an inseamer at Edgerton Shoe Co. until retirement in 1967. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Edgerton Shoe Co. Quarter Century Club.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, James Jr. of Janesville, Henry of Edgerton and
Charles of Ft. Myers, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Mary MILLARD of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Helen WENTLER of Janesville and Mrs. Clara SNELL of Edgerton; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church with burial in
Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bruni Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church organ fund. [Tuesday edition, p. 3]
