- Mrs. Vergie M. BRERETON, 71, of 912 Church, died Friday
at Mercy Hospital.
- The former Vergie BAKER was born May 1, 1910, in Shennington
and married
- John BRERETON on Feb. 22, 1933 in Rockford, Ill.
- She graduated from Madison Central High School in 1928 and
Mercy Hospital
- School of Nursing in 1931. She worked many years as a private
duty registered nurse at Mercy Hospital until her retirement.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Surviving are her husband; a son, John W. of Fort Lauderdale,
Fla.; a daughter, Ruth
- Ann GOMARD of Westminster, Calif.; three grandchildren;
a brother, James E. BAKER of Umatilla, Fla.; and two sisters,
Georgia OLDENBURG of Rochester, and Myrtle LUEBBEN
of Tucson, Ariz.
- Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Overton Funeral
Home, with burial in Milton
- Lawns Memorial Park.
- Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
