- Arthur W. ANDERSON, 70, of 201 Hillside, Janesville,
former president and
- chairman of The Burdick Corp., Milton, died Tuesday in Mercy
Hospital.
- Born Aug. 20, 1915, in Madison, he married Virginia LOOFBORO
on Oct. 3, 1953.
- He attended Milton College and the University of Wisconsin
and served with the 90th Bomb Group of the Army Air Corps in
New Guinea during World War II. He was a charter member of
the Milton Kiwanis Club and a member of the First Congregational
UCC Church, Janesville, the Blackhawk Curling Club, the National
Model Railroad Association and the Rock County Republican Caucus.
In 1974, he received the first annual Milton College Civic
Award.
- Surviving are his wife; three sons, Philip W. of Milwaukee
and James A. and Gregory
- E., both of Janesville; and five sisters, Genevieve ANDERSON,
Doris BOWEN and Lillie MARKHAM, all of Janesville,
Bettie LYMAN of Milton and Barbara SCHROEDER of
Mechanicsburg, Pa.
- Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Congregational
UCC Church, Milton, with
- burial in the Milton Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m.
to the time of services Friday in the church. Albrecht Funeral
Home-Milton is in charge of arrangements. [Wednesday edition,
