- JANESVILLE - Rex [Eugene] ADDIE, age 73, of 1421 Canyon
Dr., died at Mercy
- Hospital Sunday evening. He was born Jan. 31, 1914 in Milton,
the son of Lawrence and Bessie CRAIG ADDIE. He
worked at General Motors for 10 years prior to farming in the
Milton and Johnstown area. In 1966, he became a correctional
officer at the Statesville Prison, Joliet, IL. He retired in
1984 and had lived in Janesville since. He married Cretia BROWN
July 8, 1933 in Rockford, IL.
- He is survived by his wife; one son, Lawrence ADDIE
of Janesville; 1 daughter, Mrs.
- Robert (Jean) MANSUR of Janesville; 1 brother, Dean
FIELDS of Waukesha; 1 sister, Mrs. Phoebe BAUER
of Edgerton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
- Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at
the Albrecht Funeral
- Home, Milton. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Friends
may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Albrecht
