- EVANSVILLE - Donald E[dward] JACKSON, age 70, of 120
Sherman Ave.,
- died at home Sunday, Sept. 13, 1987. He was born Oct. 12,
1916 in Evansville, the son of George and Lila (HAYNES)
JACKSON. He had been a lifelong Evansville resident.
He married Dorothy CAREY Dec. 28, 1941. He then served
as a sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II and had
been employed by the Janesville Auto Transport Co. for many years,
retiring in 1978.
- He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; 2 sons, Craig (Rosemary)
of Fort Atkinson and
- Carey (Karla) of Janesville; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty
AUSTIN of Janesville; 3 brothers: Robert of Texas, Richard
of Arizona and Theodore of Madison.
- Graveside services, with military rites, will be a 2:00 p.m.
Wed., Sept. 16 in Maple Hill
- Cemetery, Evansville, Rev. David Farina will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Ward Funeral Home, Evansville,
