OBITUARY - Joan BUCHHOLZ CLARK, Lakewood, CO
Joan BUCHHOLZ CLARK, age 88 died Fri., Aug. 3, 2001 at the Meridian Health
Center (in Colorodo.) She was born on Aug 7, 1913, in Janesville, the daughter of George Otto and Louise SHEARER BUCHHOLZ. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1936. She lived in Janesville, Neenah, WI, Westport, CT, Louisville, KY and recently in Lakewood, CO. She was an active member of her various churches, the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and University of Wisconsin Alumni Asssoc. Joan was an avid golfer and square dancer, an artist who took up painting with acrylics at 86, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Frederick (Georgia) CLARK of Livonia, MI; her
twin daughters, Judy (Eric) SAENGER of Lakewood, CO, and Joyce (John) HARMON of West Hartford, CT; 5 grandchildren: Timothy Coe SAENGER of Texas, Rachel Leigh, Christopher Patrick CLARK, both of Michigan, Sarah Louise HARMON of Vermont, and Ross Huntington HARMON of Connecticut; and a great-granddaughter, Shannon Elise MANCHESTER of Vermont. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert Coe CLARK, Sr.; and 3 children: Robert Coe CLARK, Jr., Stephen George CLARK, and Carol Joan CLARK.
A memorial service will be held at the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church (in
Colorado) on Dec. 23, 2001, at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Janesville, at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Joan's hornor to the First Presbyterian Church, 17 N. Jackson St., Janesville, WI 53545, which was built by her grandfather, Frederick Herman BUCHHOLZ.
