SANTA BARBARA, CA / MILTON - Jeanette Marie (KRAMER) POLAN was
born on Aug. 29, 1922, to Lawrence and Carrie KRAMER of Fulton. She grew up in Fulton, graduated from Edgerton High School, and attended Milton College. She married Roger Polan on Sept. 5, 1943.
After living in Milton for several years, the family moved to Santa Barbara, CA, in
1960, where she resided until her death on June 3, 2004. Jeanette spent most of her working years as a bookkeeper for several companies in Santa Barbara. She expressed her creativity through many hobbies, including sewing, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and miniatures. After she retired she spent many hours creating a miniature dollhouse that was a replica of her childhood home in Fulton.
She is survived by her husband, Roger POLAN of Santa Barbara, CA; sons, Jeff of
Carpinteria, CA, and Jerry of La Pine, OR; a daughter, Carrie BELL of Santa Clara, CA; 2 sisters, Jean KRAMER of Santa Barbara, CA, and Ruth SCHWAHN of Vancouver, British Columbia; as well as 4 grandchildren: Stacey POLAN, Melissa BLOSSON, Chris POLAN, and Jonathan BELL; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, at Albrecht Funeral
Home, Hwy. 26, Milton, with Pastor George Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Albrecht Funeral Home is assisting the family. [Wednesday edition]

SHOPIERE - Marjorie E. KOPP, 84, of Shopiere, WI, died unexpectedly Tuesday,
Sept. 14, 2004, in her home.
Marge was born in Harvey, IL, on Sept. 9, 1920, daughter of Emil and May
(ROBERTS) KANGAS. She married Ross Andy KOPP on Aug. 21, 1938, in Beloit; he died on Feb. 8, 1990.
A Shopiere resident most of her life, she was a member of the Shopiere Congregational
Church. She and her husband Andy owned and operated the Shopiere Store for 38 years. After closing the store she accumulated over a million miles, driving cars for snowbirds to Florida, Arizona and California, a job she dearly enjoyed. In her younger years she played Women’s Softball as a catcher, and she taught tap dancing to the children in the Shopiere area. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband Andy, bowling and bingo. She had been a contestant on The Price is Right show, met Bob Barker and won a washer and dryer. She and Andy were instrumental forming the original Shopiere 4th of July fireworks celebration.
Surviving are her sons, Fred (Mary) KOPP of Franklin, WI, and John KOPP of
Shopiere, WI; 7 grandchildren: Sue, Mark, John, Jeff, Sarah, Andrew and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Merle KANGAS of Los Angles, CA, Bob (Mary) KANGAS of Boston, MA, and Paul (Jenny) of Mukwonago, WI; 2 sisters, Betty STUART of Pontiac, MI, and Dorothy HILL of Kewanee, IL; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in the SCHOENFELD
FUNERAL HOME , 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Correll officiating. Burial will be in the Shopiere Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to the Turtle Community Organization.

Daniel Clark BINGHAM, 50, of 3904 Park View Drive, Janesville, died on Monday,
Sept. 20, 2004, at Mercy Hospital of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident.
Dan was born in Milton on March 9, 1954, son of Charles and Phyllis (CLARK)
BINGHAM. He graduated from Milton High School and Cardinal Stritch College. Dan married Sandra KNOLL on May 29, 1976. He was formerly employed by Burdick Corp., Milton, E.T.I. and Norland in Fort Atkinson, and presently was employed as the business service manager for Danfoss in Milwaukee. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the South Central Wisconsin Chapter of Harley Owners Group. Dan especially enjoyed his family, friends, scuba diving and riding his Harley.
Dan is survived by his wife, Sandra BINGHAM; 2 daughters, Lisa BINGHAM and
Carrie BINGHAM, all at home; his mother, Phyllis BINGHAM; his father, Charles (Betty) BINGHAM; his brother, David (Marsha) BINGHAM; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clifford and Rosemary KNOLL, all of Milton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at St.
Mary's Catholic Church , 313 E Wall St. Janesville, with Father Stephen Umhoefer officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. A memorial fund in Dan BINGHAM's name will be established through Johnson Bank. [Wednesday edition]
