H. R. LOOFBORO, 78, died Saturday morning in Edgerton Memorial hospital
where he had been taken for treatment the previous day. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Milton S.D.B. church, the Rev. Carroll L. Hill officiating, and K. A. BABCOCK singing a selection. Burial was in Milton. Pallbearers were Henry OCHS, David GREGOIRE, Wm. D. BURDICK, L. A. BABCOCK, Victor HURLEY and Russell BURDICK.
Horace Roscoe LOOFBORO, son of Isaac Newton and Anna Maria DAVIS
LOOFBORO, was born July 30, 1865, at Welton, Iowa, and attended school there. The family moved to Milton in 1883 and Horace attended Milton college, graduating in 1892. His class celebrated its 50th anniversary at commencement time in 1942.
After graduation, he went to Boulder, Colo, where he remained until 1899 when he
returned to Welton, and on June 5, 1901, he married Hattie MUDGE, the Rev. George W. BURDICK officiating. They resided on a farm until he retired because of ill health. They moved to Milton in 1926 so their sons, Paul and Elston, could attend Milton college.
Mr. LOOFBORO was a member of the Welton S.D.B. church and there was
ordained a deacon. He was active in the Milton church as long as his health permitted. He had been confined to his home months at a time since coming to Milton.
Survivors are his wife and sons; a brother, L. L. LOOFBORO, Milton; and four
grandchildren.
Among the relatives from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Elston
LOOFBORO, Janesville; Mrs. Paul LOOFBORO and three children, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie LOOFBORO, Huntley, Illinois; Virginia LOOFBORO, Elkhorn; Evelyn LOOFBORO, Madison; Mrs. E. LOOFBORO, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest SAUDNERS, Albion; Willard VAN HORN, Waukesha. [Thursday edition]
