- John Elbert MARYOTT, who formerly
owned and operated the O. P. KERCHOFF
- farm north of Milton Junction, died
in the Beecher convalescent home in Janesville at 9 a.m. Sunday.
A resident of Janesville the past 13 years, he had been failing
in health several months.
- Mr. MARYOTT was born in the
town of Milton July 12, 1863, and attended the
- Rock River school. On Sept. 17, 1885,
he was married in Albion to Miss Cora LANGWORTHY who died
in August, 1929.
- Surviving are two sons, Glen of Fort
Atkinson and Earl, Milton; three daughters, Mrs.
- Belle HAMLIN, Janesville, Mrs.
Martin GERLOFF, Fort Atkinson, and Miss Lula MARYOTT,
Milton Junction; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, the Misses Ella and Eva MARYOTT, Milton
Junction. A sister, Mrs. B. R. YOUNG, and a grandson,
John HAMLIN, preceded him in death.
- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in the Reining funeral home, Janesville.
- Elder A. G. Johnson, Milton Junction,
officiated and K. A. BABCOCK, Milton, gave the song service.
Burial was in Rock River cemetery. Pallbearers were Byron
and Clarence MARYOTT, Stennett KERCHOFF, Clinton
BEALS, Forrest GERLOFF and William HEITZ.
