Ella Adelia MARYOTT, daughter of Henry C. and Adelia PALMER MARYOTT,
was born August 30, 1869, and died on the morning of February 6, 1948, age 78, at her home north of Milton Junction where she had resided all her life.
In her youth she was baptized and joined the Rock River Seventh Day Baptist church
where she was organist for a number of years. In the year 1900 she was united with the seventh Day Adventist church in Milton Junction. Illness during the last three and one half years of her life kept her confined to her home, and for the past several months to her bed.
Her quiet and unassuming character was filled with kindness and love, and when in
health she was always ready to lend her helpful ministry to both young and old.
Her parents, one sister, and a half brother preceded her in death. The only surviving
member of the family is a sister, Eva MARYOTT.
Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Phelps funeral home, with the Elder C. W.
Schnepper, president of the S.D.A. Wisconsin conference, officiating. Kenneth BABCOCK sang "Saved by Grace" and "No Night There." Interment at Rock River cemetery.

W[illiam] K. DAVIS, 78, passed away at his home, 430 N. Oleander St., Daytona
Beach, Fla., Feb. 12, of a heart attack after a long illness. He was born in Alfred, N.Y., March 26, 1869, the son of the Rev. Darius K. and Lucinda DAVIS. He attended Milton college in 1893 and later went into the newspaper business in Milton and Milton Junction.
He came to Daytona Beach in 1939 and was a resident there for nine years.
He was an active member of the Seventh Day Baptist church in Daytona Beach and
served as a member of the board of trustees.
Surviving are his wife, Betty WELLMAN DAVIS, nephews Charles Allison DAVIS
of Long Beach, Calif., and Dr. Myrl Nelson DAVIS of Appleton; and a niece, Mrs. John STAHUTAK of Chicago.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Seventh Day Baptist church,
Daytona Beach, with the Rev. J. W. Crofoot officiating.
Pallbearers were L. Emile BABCOCK, Clifford BRANCH, Edmund R. GARITT,
Charles Edward HENDRICK, and Barry DALE.
Burial was at Cedar Hill cemetery, Daytona Beach. [Thursday edition, p. 1]

Mrs. Irving CLARKE, 96, died in the Beecher Nursing home in Janesville shortly
after noon Thursday, Feb. 12. Mrs. CLARKE has been in failing health for a number of years and was taken to the nursing home for care on Feb. 3.
Esther E. OSBORN, daughter of William and Cynthia OSBORN, was born in the
town of Harmony, Oct. 28, 1851. At the age of fourteen she was baptized and became a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church and when the church was organized in Milton Junction she became a charter member of that church and was a worker in the church, ladie's aide society and Sabbath school as long as her health permitted. She was a very successful teacher and taught schools in Rock and Dane counties for 35 years, teaching in the Milton Junction grade school for nine years.
On Aug. 3, 1903, she was married to Irving B. CLARKE and for five years they
lived in De Forest, coming to Milton Junction in 1907 where they have since lived.
She is survived by her husband, three step-sons, Roy C. CLARKE, Minneapolis;
Howard L. CLARKE, Big Bear Lake, Calif. and Harlow O. CLARKE, Janesville; and one step-daughter, Mrs. O. H. CRANDALL, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and four nieces, Mrs. Florence ROBENSON [ROBINSON], Mrs. Hazel BAKER, Mrs. Nellie WORDEN and Mrs. William KEMMERLING, and three grand-nephews, Earl, Clarence and William OSBORN.
Funeral services were held in the Seventh Day Baptist church Sunday at 2 p.m. with
the Rev. Orrville W. Babcock officiating and burial in the Milton Junction cemetery.
Pallbearers were J. STRASSBURG, C. HERRINGTON, Ray CARY and R.
