Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 3, for Wayland [J.]
LOOFBORO, 22, Milton Junction, Rt. 2, who died Thursday morning, Sept. 1, as a result of injuries sustained between a Milwaukee road passenger train and a car in which he was a passenger on Wednesday at Avalon.
LOOFBORO was born in Clinton county, Iowa, July 20, 1927, to Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley LOOFBORO. The family moved to Milton Junction 20 years ago. He enlisted in the navy while attending high school. After serving 18 months in service he was honorably discharged and re-entered high school where he graduated with the class of 1947.
Services were held in the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist church with the Rev.
Kenneth Van Horn officiating. Burial was in the Milton Junction cemetery.
Survivors are his parents; two brothers, Dr. Victor LOOFBORO, Milwaukee, and
Carroll, Milton Junction; one sister, Mrs. George RAUSCH; and his grandfathers, Wade LOOFBORO and Orville HURLEY, both of Milton Junction. [Thursday, p. 7]
