- Mrs. Wesley LOOFBORO, 53, died
in her sleep at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, in her farm
- home on rt. 2, Milton Junction. She
had apparently been in her usual health and death came very suddenly.
- Esther Sylvia HURLEY was born
Sept. 29, 1896 at Welton, Iowa, the daughter of
- Orville A. and Mary SCHRADER
HURLEY. She attended Milton academy in 1916 and 1917.
She was married to Wesley Wade LOOFBORO of Welton, Iowa,
at Welton on January 16, 1918. They came to Wisconsin in 1930
and have lived in and near Milton since that time.
- She was baptized and became a member
of the Welton Seventh Day Baptist church,
- later transferring her membership to
the local church, of which she was an active member.
- She is survived by her husband; two
sons, Dr. Victor LOOFBORO, Milwaukee, and
- Carroll LOOFBORO, Milton Junction;
one daughter, Mrs. Arlene RUSCH, also of Milton Junction;
and several granddaughters. Also surviving are her father, Orville
HURLEY, Milton Junction; a brother, Lester HURLEY,
DeWitt, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Illa WENZEL, Janesville.
A son, Wayland, died Sept. 1, 1949, the result of an auto accident.
- Funeral services were held in the Seventh
Day Baptist church, Milton Junction at 2
- p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Kenneth
Van Horn officiating. Burial was in Milton Junction cemetery.

- Mrs. Hattie VAN HORN [nee Harriet
Emmergine ASHLEY], 73, died Friday
- morning in Mercy Hospital, Janesville,
following a long illness.
- Mrs. VAN HORN was born April
23, 1876, in Milton Junction, and was a resident
- of this area all her life. For the
past year she has made her home in Janesville with a son, Wesley.
- Surviving besides Wesley, are two other
sons, Nelson, LaCrosse, and Arthur,
- Janesville; and a daughter, Mrs. Willmer
DAVIS, Spokane, Was. She was preceded in death by her
husband.
- The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday
in the Milton Junction Seventh Day Baptist
- church, the Rev. Kenneth VAN HORN
officiating. Burial was in Milton cemetery. [Thursday edition,
