- [Everett] Earl PATTERSON, 70,
died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11 a.m.
- Friday, at his home, 212 Golden Lane,
Milton Junction. He had just returned from attending to errands
uptown.
- A son of the late John E. PATTERSON,
Earl was born in Milton on March 18,
- 1885, and has lived in this vicinity
all his life. He enlisted at the age of 32 and served during
World War I.
- He was married to Mae THOMAS JOHNSON
on March 20, 1947.
- Survivors are his wife; one brother,
Archie PATTERSON, Denver, Colorado; two
- sisters, Mrs. Etta NELSON, Denver,
Colorado, and Mrs. Mary ECKHART, Rockford, Ill; and nieces
and nephews.
- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday in the Albrecht funeral home with Elder
- L. E. Abelson officiating. Mrs. Robert
STEELE, Janesville, sang "Beyond the Sunset"
and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Burial was in Milton
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Albert JOHNSON, Chester HERRINGTON,
Robert J. ALBRECHT and Lawrence LEACH. [Thursday

- Henry [Charles] BABCOCK, 79,
died early last Thursday in his home at Milton
- following an illness of six months.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Albrecht
funeral home, the Rev. Fred Babcock, Land O' Lakes, officiating.
Miss Betty DALAND presided at the organ and accompanied
Kenneth BABCOCK when he sang two hymns. Burial was in
Albion cemetery, pallbearers being C. A. NELSON, Henry
OCHS, Archie HURLEY, Clark TODD, Kenneth
OCHS and Floyd VINCENT.
- The son of Charles I. and Clarissa
J. BABCOCK, Henry was born July 24, 1876,
- at Albion. He attended the public schools
and Albion Academy. In 1905 he went to New Auburn where he built
a home. On Dec. 30, 1911, he married Maude COON. He and
his family moved to southern Wisconsin and at one time he was
employed at the Burdick Cabinet company, Milton.
- He is survived by his wife; two sons,
Durwood BABCOCK of Hanover and Leonard
- BABCOCK
of Haverstraw, N.Y.; three daughters, Evelyn MISHLEAU
of Whitewater, Grace DICKINSON and Ruby SKELLY
of Janesville; 16 grandchildren; a sister Lillian BABCOCK
and a brother Rev. Fred BABCOCK, both of Land O' Lakes.

- Elmer BINGHAM, 93, who had been
ill ten days, was taken to Memorial
- Community hospital, Edgerton, last
week on Wednesday and died there early Friday.
- Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday in the Milton Congregational church, the
- Rev. A. H. Lambright officiating. Kenneth
A. BABCOCK sang two selections with Mrs. Betty ALLEN,
organist. Burial was in North Johnstown cemetery with the following
acting as pallbearers: John CLARK, George YATES,
Elmer RUMPF, Alfred CLOUTE, Harvey GRIFFIS
and Theodore ODENWALDER.
- Elmer Lucius BINGHAM, son of
Lucius and Harriet LEONARD BINGHAM,
- was born Sept. 7, 1862, in a log cabin
on Pioneer Farm, town of Harmony. On October 13, 1887, he was
married to Daisy M. HOWARD, who passed away June 18, 1945.
- Mr. BINGHAM lived his entire
life on the farm settled by his father in 1839. He
- served several years in town and county
offices of Rock county, and remained alert and interested in
local and national affairs until his death. He was baptized in
the North Johnstown Baptist church which he attended until its
abandonment. He and his family then joined the Milton Congregational
Church.
- Surviving are five sons: Howard, Burlington;
Harold, Ruston, La.; Merrill, Milton
- Junction; Elmer, Stockton, Calif.;
and Elton at home. Five daughters: Mrs. C. A. BORDEN,
Milwaukee; Mrs. I. E. SCHMIDT, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs.
P. E. EMERSON, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. L. J. WEIDNER,
Libertyville, Ill.; and Mrs. W. R. WINCH, Madison. There
are 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
- A daughter, Mrs. Percy FENNER,
died in December 1926 and a son, Marcellus,
- died in infancy. [Thursday edition,
