- Funeral services were held at 1:30
p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, in the Albrecht funeral
- home for Mrs. George R. GREENE,
91, who died Sunday in a Janesville nursing home. Dr. Carroll
L. Hill officiated and Kenneth A. BABCOCK gave the song
service. Burial was in Milton cemetery. Pallbearers were
B. R. ROOD, D. N. INGLIS, W. H. WATERMAN
and C. A. NELSON.
- The former Elsie Louise CASTLE,
daughter of Asher and Louisa BISHOP
- CASTLE,
was born Nov. 17, 1864, at Whitewater. She was married to George
R. GREENE, July 28, 1886. They lived in Milton, where
he was employed as a buttermaker, and then went to Whitewater,
where he was employed in a flour mill and later was a farmer.
They lived at Hancock, Wis., for 20 years and at Coloma before
returning to Milton. He died June 22, 1941. She was a member
of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church.
- Surviving are a son, George J., of
Sheboygan; a daughter, Mrs. Lyle MILLARD,
- Janesville, and four grandchildren.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. [Thursday
