- Edward C[lifford] SEVERANCE,
80, a former Milton resident, died of a heart
- attack, Thursday, Oct. 18, 1956, in
Murfreesboro, Tenn., enroute to his winter home in Bradenton,
Fla.
- Mr. SEVERANCE was born in Wasioja
township, Minnesota, October 5, 1876, the
- son of J. M. and Ruth SEVERANCE.
He was married in Gentry, Ark., to Grace BABCOCK who
preceded him in death in 1926. From Gentry the family moved
to Garwin, Iowa, where Mr. SEVERANCE was a Deacon of the
S.D.B. Church.
- Survivors are a son, Leonard, Battle
Creek, Mich.; daughters, Mrs. R. S. HOWARD,
- Milton, and Mrs. Carl A. HANDKE,
Edgerton. A son, Illo, died at the early age of 7. There
are two grandchildren, Mrs. Marjory JACOB, Pomona Park,
Fla., and Kay S. HOWARD, Milton. A brother, H. G. SEVERANCE
resides in Fresno, Calif.
- Funeral services were held Sunday,
Oct. 21, in the Milton S.D.B church with the Rev.
- Elmo Randolph officiating. Pallbearers
were Frank HURLEY, Charles NELSON, Prof. W. CORNELL,
Carl H. ANDERSON, Henry OCHS and Homer HESS.
Kenneth BABCOCK gave the song service, Betty DALAND
at the organ.
- Mr. and Mrs. Theron OCHS were
in charge of the floral offerings. Thanks to The
- Burdick Corporation and many friends
a gift will be made to Camp Wakonda in his memory.
- Friends and relatives from Battle Creek,
Mich., Edgerton, Albion, Janesville, Beloit,
- Chicago, and Tracer, Iowa were in attendance.
